Never fall in love with a poet
for their words are sometimes lies
on occasions they're a shield,
on occasions a disguise
They will take you on a journey
upon which they bare their soul
in a bid to ease your burden
in a bid to make you whole
But in every word they choose
for the stories that they tell
lies a little piece of heaven
and a little piece of hell
Tormented souls we poets are
sometimes quite broken and despaired
in search of lost expressions
missed by others who once cared
Never fall in love with a poet
unless you're prepared to share their pain
to hold them close on the darkest nights
over and again
Below is my take on this poem,
एक कवि से प्यार मत करना,
इन झूठों का ऐतबार मत करना।
कभी शब्दों को ढाल बनाते हैं,
कभी शब्दों में ख़ुद को छुपाते हैं,
इन्हें खोजने का विचार मत करना,
एक कवि से प्यार मत करना।
सपनों की दुनिया ये बनाते हैं,
आत्मा तक भी पहुँच जाते हैं,
कभी सब बोझ तेरे हर लेंगे,
कभी पूर्ण तुझे कर देंगे,
सपनों का इनके दीदार मत करना,
एक कवि से प्यार मत करना।
शब्दों से कथा बनाते हैं,
स्वर्ग-नर्क दिखलाते हैं,
टूटे,बिखरे,परेशान हों,पर खोए भावों को ढूँढ लाते हैं,
इनकी कथाएँ कभी साकार मत करना,एक कवि से प्यार मत करना।
इनके दर्द को गर न बाट सको,
अँधेरी रातों में इनको न थाम सको,
तो इनसे आँखे चार मत करना,
एक कवि से प्यार मत करना।

yea, a poet is always like that building castles with words, for poetry is a clamp of clay by which you can either make a god or a devil.
