Eid in Palestine

The world has endless problems some out of mistakes and some out of power yet people decode the every possible way to be happy and satisfied. Palestine is one such place and Palestinians are such people who are trying to remain hopeful when they are surrounded by debris of their houses and having pain of losing their loved ones. They are observing Ramzaan fast in such condition and will join Eid celebrations with the world also. Their spirit and never say die attitude prompted me to write this small poem for Eid dedicated to them. Happy Eid to all. 

Shattered, tattered, with bleak hope,

faith giving them power to cope,

in love, peace, brotherhood has the scope,

to tie the festivities & happiness with one tightrope.

Their spirit is broken but not destroyed,

in small occasions they are satisfied,

Eid is the festival of giving and to fill void,

pray that on a new day, new cheerfulness buoyed.

Eid-ul-Fitr is feast of Ramzaan. The day which is dedicated to celebrations after the month of fasting in which Muslims need to share there happiness with those who are less privileged to enjoy this festival fully. I like to wish all of you Eid Mubarak, Happy Eid.  

खुशियों से गले मिल लो यार आज ईद है,

मिटादो सारे बीते मुद्दे यार आज ईद है। 

बाटो न नफ़रतें बस प्यार आज ईद है। 

Khushiyon Se Gale Mil Lo Yaar Aaj Eid Hai,

Mitado Saare Beete Mudde Yaar Aaj Eid Hai,

Baton Na Nafratein Bas Pyaar Aaj Eid Hai.

Spirit of Eid

Spirit of Eid

Eid-ul-Fitr or 'Meethi Eid' as it is called in India is celebrated after completion of holy month of fasting i.e Ramzaan. This festival Eid is not just about celebration but about sharing happiness. The privileged Muslims are obliged to give 'Zakaat' (2.5% amount from total earnings which is given to poor and needy) and 'Fitra' (amount equal to 1.6kg wheat meant for poor and needy) to maintain the balance in society and need to take care that people around us should be happy. But this year Ramzaan became violent with deaths of innocents in terrorist attacks of Istanabul, Baghdad,Dhaka,Orlando and recently in Qatif and Madina of Saudi Arabia. Most died in these attacks are fasting Muslims which make it clear that terror sees no religion, neither it has any religion. Here I am sharing a poem emphasizing on real Spirit of Eid. May Eid brings happiness and peace to the world. Happy Eid. 

 A Ramzaan passed with scars,

of innocent deaths and situation like wars.

War on humanity where Satan ruled,

with veil of religion to us they fooled.

Spirit of Eid is happiness for all,

how it's possible with such humanity's fall.

A just society where happiness and pain are shared,

where each precious life is properly cared.

Your prayers are waste and futile,

If others around you are without a smile.

Spare few moments to remember all those who died,

before laughing wipe tears of all those who have cried.

When you raise your hands for Eid's prayer,

Ask HIM for peace, brotherhood and care.

रमज़ान मुबारक। 

We are lucky to witness one more month of Ramzaan in our life. The month when Allah shower his blessings with open hands. A moment to repent all our sins and to pray for a better life ahead. Happy Ramzaan to all. 

रहमतें, बरकतें और अपनी मोहब्बत का करम फरमाना,

रमज़ान के महीने में गुनाहों से हमें बचाना,

ऐ अल्लाह हमें मांगना भी नहीं आता,

तू बिन मांगे ही सब देता है, रोज़े रखना भी आसान बनना।  

Rahmatein,Barkatein Aur Apni Mohabbat Ka Karam Farmana,

Ramzaan Ke Mahine Mein Gunahon Se Hamein Bachana,

Ae Allah Hamein Mangna Bhi Nahin Aata,

Tu Bin Maange Hi Sab Deta Hai, Roze Rakhna Bhi Aasan Banana.

Shower Your blessings in this benevolence month of Ramzaan,

Wash all our sins in this merciful month of Ramzaan,

You know all and we don't know how to pray,

Bless us so that easily in fasting (Roza) we can stay.

Aa Gayee Eid(Eid has came)

आ गई ईद। (Eid Has Came)

मुस्कुराते नए चाँद के साथ,

रोज़ेदारों को मिली है सौगात,

खुशियाँ बाटने की चलाकर रीत,

आ गई ईद,आ गई ईद। 

With beaming of the new moon,

Rozedar* has received a boon,

Sharing happiness with it's aim,

Eid has came,Eid has came.

दोस्तों से,दुश्मनों से मिटा शिकवे-गिले,

आ गया दिन जब मिलेंगे सबसे गले,

बुराइयों पर हासिल करती जीत,

आ गई ईद,आ गई ईद। 

Erase grievances from foe and friend,

A day has come in hugs to spend,

Victory over evil it acclaim,

Eid has came,Eid has came.

दूर ग़म मुफ्लीसों के करने को,

मिठास हर ज़िन्दगी में भरने को,

हर किसी से जोड़ने प्रीत,

आ गई ईद,आ गई ईद। 

Problems of all paupers to reduce,

sweetness in every body's life to induce,

Love for each one it claim,

Eid has came,Eid has came.
