Jaun Elia is among the most trending shayar on social media nowadays. Be it for highlighting pointlessness of life, be it for longing or for love, people are just feeling the connect. This ghazal also  conveys the same thing that by merely existing is not living and such a life is no different from death. Here I have tried to translate this poem. बे-दिली क्या यूँही दिन गुज़र जाएँगे! 

सिर्फ़ ज़िंदा रहे हम तो मर जाएँगे!

Be-Dili Kya Yuhin Din Guzar Jaenge,

Sirf Zinda Rahe Hum To Mar Jaenge. 

Will in this dissatisfaction days will pass by,

If we merely stay alive, we shall surely die. 

रक़्स है रंग पर रंग हम-रक़्स हैं,

सब बिछड़ जाएँगे सब बिखर जाएँगे,

Raqs Hai Rang Par Rang Hum-Raqs Hain,

Sab Bichad Jaenge Sab Bikhar Jaenge.

Dance is color but color is dance partner,

All will be separated, all will scatter.

ये ख़राबातियान-ए-ख़िरद-बाख़्ता!

सुब्ह होते ही सब काम पर जाएँगे,

Ye Kharabatiyan-e-Khirad-Bakhta,

Subha Hote Hi Sab Kaam Par Jaenge.

These revelers,lost,bereft of any reason,

Will head to work at morning's inception.

कितनी दिलकश हो तुम कितना दिल-जू हूँ मैं,

क्या सितम है कि हम लोग मर जाएँगे।

Kitni Dilkash Ho Tum Kitna Dil-Jun Hun Mein,

Kya Sitam Hai Ki Hum Log Mar Jaenge.

How attractive you are and how charming am I,

What a tragedy it is that we shall eventually die.

है ग़नीमत कि असरार-ए-हस्ती से हम,

बे-ख़बर आए हैं बे-ख़बर जाएँगे।

Hai Ghanimat Ki Asrar-e-Hasti Se Hum,

Be-Khabar Aaye Hain, Be-Khabar Jaenge.

Not knowing secrets of existence is a blessing,

Unaware we have come and will go without knowing.
