Mann Ka Ravan 2.0

(Mann Ka Ravan) The Evil Inside.

Dussehra is celebrated as the victory of Good over Evil. Each year people burn the effigies of Ravan, Kumbhakaran and Meghnath to mark the victory of Lord Ram. Dussehra spreads a powerful message of righteousness, hope, and moral truth. But every year while we celebrate this day we forget that the symbolic evils we are burning are all reside inside us and we must overcome those to really celebrate this day. Here I have written an English Couplet and a Hindi Poem with same message. Happy Dussehra

Violence,Hatred,Ego,Greed, Anger and Pride,
All These Bads When In Us Freely Reside,
How Burning An Effigy Give You Smile Wide,
First Introspect And Burn The Evil Inside.

Bade-Bade Putle Ravan Ke Har Saal Jalate Hain,
Achchai Ki Jeet Ka Hum Aise Jashn Manate Hain,
Burai Har Saal Magar Laut Ke Phir Aa Jati Hai,
Kyunki Mann Ke Ander Se Kabhi Hum Usko Nahin Mitate Hain.

Ram Ki Maryada Ke Waise Kasme To Hum Khate Hain,
Un Ke Adarshon Par Chalna Duniya Ko Sikhate Hain,
Ram Bano,Ravan Nahin Ye Baar-Baar Dohrate Hain,
Mann Ke Ander Ke Ravan Ko Par Hum Nahin Jalate Hain.

Hinsa,Lalach,Lobh,Dwesh Sab Hum Mein Sama Jate Hain,
Gusse,Nafrat,Ahankar Ko Door Kahan Kar Pate Hain,
Mange Koi Madad Ya Daya To Hum Apna Muhn Chupate Hain,
Mann Ka Ravan Jismein Jale Woh Dussehra Ab Se Banate Hain.

Mann Ka Ravan

(Mann Ka Ravan)

A Hindi Kavita song with a message of Dussehra that we all must conquer our the evils residing in us to have a better self, society, nation and the world. Happy Dussehra to all.

Mann Ka Ravan Bura Karo To Dhire-Dhire Badta Hai,
Ram Mita Do Jivan Se To Ye Phir Sar Jadta Hai.

Iski Taqat Hai Burai, Ise Na Bhae Sachchai,
Lobh-Lalach Khata Hai Ye Aur Prem Hriday Sadta Hai.

Adharm-Hinsa Hatyaar Iske, Gussa Hai Param Sipahi,
Jo Inko Swikaar Kare Wo Hardam Bhadakta Hai.

Aaj Isko Aag Laga Do, Mann Ke Andar Se Mita Do,
Parv Dussehre Ka Aaj Yahi To Humse Kehta Hai.

(Param) - Main .

Magic

Magic

Since Gandhi Jayanti, Dussehra and Eid -ul- Adha are here. I have shared the magic associated with them.

Not a single bullet fired in retaliation,
Enemy's blood not shed in revolution,
Still rulers of world faced humiliation,
This is the magic of truth & non-violence's agitation,
This is the magic of Mahatma, father of the nation.

Blessed with the power and immortality ,
Ravana, the ruler of city of gold, having knowledge of best quality,
Unconquerable even by the force of god's equality,
Defeated by a young prince living in forest's difficulty,
This is the magic of Rama, the magic of righteousness and divinity.

Son and father both unquestioning his command,
Not even once succumbing to the Satan's demand,
Prepared for the sacrifice so grand,
Son exchanged with a lamb as Abraham extend his hand,
This is the magic of belief & mercy, the magic of Allah's wand.

Diwali Light

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 43; the forty-third edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton. The theme for the month is "LIGHT"

 Diwali Light

Diwali is the festival of light. On this day we celebrate the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after an exile of fourteen years. This festival was the beginning of happiness and joy for the people of Ayodhya, we also pray that Diwali Light will bring prosperity in everybody's life. This experimental poem shows one such prayer with a message of Happy Diwali.

Happiness for all,
Arrogance very small,
Pride where fall,
Purity stands tall,
You and me with love enthrall,

Such should bring Diwali light,
Removing evil,removing our plight.

Darkness goes glim,
Inflation where slim,
War becoming dim,
Affection freely swim,
Loneliness gets trim,
I where in the end is coming,

Such should bring Diwali light,
Removing evil,removing our plight.
