We All Are One

We All Are One

We all are one. This thought needs to be glorified now than any other time in the history of India. Never ever in any circumstances 'Muslims' were told to Go To Pakistan. Never Christians were reminded that they follow a foreign religion and funded by them. Never Sikhs criticized for doing service to humanity because those they were serving belongs to a different religion. Never Hindus believed that 'They' are snatching opportunities from 'Them.'

Such thoughts are disheartening and painful for a person like me who is grown up in a mix culture. So I decided to pen this poem and there is no better day to share it than on the occasion of Independence Day. Enjoy the poem. Happy Independence Day.

Turban,tilak,locket of cross, skullcap,
between us they don't create any gap.
Difference exists in the thinking of few,
who restricts to become an India new.

In all the years of pain and glory,
we all are the part of the story.
None can achieve success on its own,
progress depends on seeds we all have sown.

In unity we grow,in division we fall,
mentality of 'Us vs Them' needs to stall.
Human,Indians,Individual we live in that order,
Our freedom has abolished backwardness' borders.

'Free we are' say it with proud,
removing hate inducing doubt.
Tricolor denotes all of us,
with differentiating our religion, color & class.

Ek Diya Jalate Hain

एक दिया जलाते हैं। Ek Diya Jalate Hain (Lets Light A Candle)

Diwali is a festival of light which not only mean to enlighten our lives but to spread that shine and happiness in the life of others. Lets share our joy with the deprived people of our society, with our soldiers who guard us even when we celebrate festivals, with our farmers who give us food when their own homes are devoid of it. This Diwali Light A Candle for them (remember them/care for them) in your celebrations. Jai Jawan Jai Kisan. Happy Diwali

Wo Jo Andheron Mein Apni Zindagi Bitate Hain,
Wo Jo Gharon Se Door Hokar Bhi Muskurate Hain,
Wo Jo Desh Ki Khatir Jeete Aur Mar Jaate Hain,
Is Dafa Ek Diya Unke Liye Jalate Hain.

Who spend their lives in darkness,
Who smiles even in homesickness,
Who live & die for country's progress,
Lets light a candle for their happiness.

Wo Jo Kabhi Ghar Wapas Nahin Aa Pate Hain,
Wo Jinke Bachche Papa Ke Aane Ki Aas Lagate Hain,
Wo Jo Tirange Ki Shaan Badate Hain,
Is Dafa Ek Diya Unke Liye Jalate Hain.

Who never return home for togetherness,
Who have children waiting in their voidness,
Who remain for tricolor's greatness,
Lets light a candle for their happiness.

वो जो खेतो में जीवन बिताते हैं,
वो जो भूखे रहकर हमें खिलाते हैं,
वो जो देश को पोशण पहुंचाते हैं,
इस दफा एक दिया उनके लिए जलाते हैं।
Wo Jo Kheto Mein Jivan Bitate Hain,
Wo Jo Bhuke Rehkar Hamein Khilate Hain,
Wo Jo Desh Ko Pishan Pahunchate Hain,
Is Dafa Ek Diya Unke Liye Jalate Hain.

Who cultivate the land in eagerness,
Who gives us food in their emptiness,
Who save nation from being nutrition-less,
Lets light a candle for their happiness.
