शायरी # 22 : इश्क़ (Couplet #22 : Love) When love is in the air there is nothing better than to describe it in a sher ( couplet). This sher tells that the ailment and the treatment is same i.e Love. इस मिट्टी में मिट जाना है। (Iss Mitti Mein Mit Jana Hai) 'Iss Mitti Mein Mil Jana Hai' is voice of those Indians namely Muslims and Dalits who are treated as second class citizen nowadays. They are as much part of the nation building as any other citizen of India and didn't need any proof of their patriotism. Amid increase incidents of violence against Dalits & Muslims by Gau Rakshaks this Hindi Kavita authenticate their attachment with India. On this Independence Day we must cherish our unity and deny any force trying to fill hatred in us. शायरी : 11 (Couplets) - Zubair Rizvi Zubair Rizvi died on 21st February 2016, with his death Urdu shayari lost his yet another appraiser. My elder brother, my sisters and I all knew his ' Yeh Hai Mera Hindustan, Mere Sapno Ka Jahan Isse Pyaar Mujhko' by heart because every time there was a school function where we have to sing patriotic songs our father taught us this ghazal at different times to all of us. We all learned it without knowing that it was written by Zubair Rizvi. Unknowingly I am attached to his works from my childhood and now when I have read his other works I started understanding and loving his works more. He will remain the first person whose ghazal I remembered by heart from my childhood. Rest In Peace! Sir your work will never let us forget you. Shayari - 10 (Couplets of Jigar Muradabadi ) Jigar Muradabadi is a famous Indian Urdu poet. ( Ghazal and Shayari ). His writing is simple and effective. Here I have translated his two popular shers (couplets). आ कि तुझ बिन इस तरह ऐ दोस्त घबराता हूँ मैं, जैसे हर शय में किसी शय की कमी पाता हूँ मैं।  Aa Ki Tujh Bin Is Tarah Ae Dost Ghabrata Hun Mein, Jaise Har Shay Mein Kisi Shay Ki Kami Pata Hun Mein. Come my friend as I am afraid without your coming, In a way that I found everything lacking in everything.  ####### तेरी ख़ुशी से अगर ग़म में भी ख़ुशी न हुई,  वो ज़िन्दगी तो मोहब्बत की ज़िन्दगी न हुई।  Teri Khushi Se Agar Gham Mein Bhi Khushi Na Hui, Wo Zindagi To Mohabbat Ki Zindagi Na Hui. शायरी - 7 (Couplets)  The two Shers (couplet ) which I have shared in this post are written by Daag Dehelvi . Both the couplets are summarizing the pain of separation and detachment from his beloved. I have translated these couplets for those who didn't understand Urdu/Hindi but if you understands the original language of this shayari then observe how beautifully he used words Jaan and Jaana in the first one and Bedard and Dard in the second.  ले चला जान मेरी रूठ के जाना तेरा, ऐसे आने से तो बेहतर था न आना तेरा। Le chala jaan meri rooth ke jana tera, Aise aane se to behtar tha na aana tera. किसी से मेरी मंज़िल का पता। ( Kisi Se Meri Manzil Ka Pata) - Makhmoor Dehelvi Makhmoor Dehelvi is one of those Urdu poets whose work is not much known. If you search on internet there is not much information about him. The last sher ( couplet ) was often recited by my father, it was now that I know it was written by Makhmoor Dehelvi and it is part of this beautiful ghazal. This ghazal talks about the failure in love or not getting the love at all because he don't consider himself worthy of it. On the philosophical ground this ghazal holds the deeper meaning of it's connection with almighty God whose doorpost he didn't want to leave but was unable to ask him anything.
