I think there is another haiku on similar lines... You know I wrote a verse in 2002 in my book with the same theme....you have done well and reminded me of that... thinking minds can think alike and it happens..
रक्षा बंधन - जिसकी बहन नहीं होती। Raksha Bandhan - Jiski Bahan Nahin Hoti. Raksha Bandhan is an Indian festival of brother-sister love in which sister tie a rakhi (sacred thread) on her brother's hand and wishes for his long-life while brother promises to protect her and take care of her in every possible way. Sadly the country which celebrate such a unique festival reports incidents of Honor Killing and has a high rate of crime against women. Lets pledge to respect each women equally this Raksha Bandhan as a mark of honor for your sister. In this Hindi Kavita (Poem) I have tried to express what all those devoid of sisters are missing in their life. It is also reminder to all those who have sisters but take these advantages as granted without caring for their sisters. Happy Raksha Bandhan to all. सूनी कलाई, सूना बचपन, सूना आगन हो जाता है, जिसकी बहन नहीं होती सूना उसका जीवन हो जाता है। Suni Kalai, Suna Bachpan, Suna Aagan Ho Jata Hai, Jiski Baha...
The Seven Stages Of Love(इश्क़ के सात मक़ाम) Arabic literature and sufi traditions describes seven stages of love and after the movie 'Dedh Ishqiya' all of us also knew that these seven stages of love are दिलकशी (Attraction),उन्स (Attachment),मोहब्बत (Love),अक़ीदत (Trust/Reverence),इबादत (Worship),जूनून (Madness) and मौत (Death) . At this time of the year ( Valentine Week) when the Love is in the air I am sharing my couplets (शेर ) which are based on these seven stages of love written at different times. I hope you will like my effort and share anything related to these seven stages of love at the comment section of this post. The best couplet ( शेर ) will be posted with your name on my Facebook page ( Fans Of Poetry ). 1. दिलकशी (Attraction) : The first stage of love where eyes meet, spark is initiated and the journey of love begins.
(Na Muhn Chupa Ki Jiye Hum Na Sar Jhuka Ke Jiye) - I am sharing here a ' Qita ' written by Sahir Ludhianvi which is recently used in Hindi movie 'Sanju '. A song inspired from it also penned by Sahir for the film ' Humraaz' (1967 ) staring Sunil Dutt in the lead role. Literal meaning of Qata is ‘separated’. Qata stands for a series of couplets in a ghazal having continuity of thought. A ghazal having one or more Qatas is called Qata-Band ghazal . Qatas also have independent existence comprising at least four lines. In a Qata , the second and fourth lines follow the same rhyming scheme. (Qita meaning from Rekhta ). Here I have tried to translate it. न मुँह छुपा के जिए हम न सर झुका के जिए, सितमगरों की नज़र से नज़र मिला के जिए, अब एक रात अगर कम जिए तो कम ही सही, यही बहुत है कि हम मिशअलें जला के जिए। Na Muhn Chupa Ke Jiye Hum Na Sar Jhuka Ke Jiye, Sitamgaron Ki Nazar Se Nazar M...
