जाने न जाने गुल ही न जाने,बाग़ तो सारा जाने है।

और तो सब कुछ तन्ज़-ओ-कनाया रम्ज़-ओ-इशारा जाने है।

क्या-क्या फ़ितने सर पर उसके लाता है माशूक़ अपना,
जिस बेदिल बेताब-ओ-तवाँ को इश्क का मारा जाने है।
In what ways does a beloved tempts or seduce,
is very well known to a strong lover's restless heart.
आशिक़ तो मुर्दा है हमेशा जी उठता है देखे उसे,
यार के आ जाने को यकायक उम्र दो बारा जाने है।
A lover is dead unless he sees his beloved,
he gets a new life as soon as she is visible to him.
रख़नों से दिवार-ए-चमन के मूहं को ले है छिपा यानी,
उन सुराखों के टुक रहने को सौ का नज़ारा जाने हैं।
Protecting her beautiful face by hiding behind means,
she knows that a glimpse of her beauty will attract hundreds.
तशना-ए-खूं है अपना कितना 'मीर' भी नादाँ तल्ख़ीकश,
दमदार आब-ए-तेग़ को उस के आब-ए-गवारा जाने है।
'Mir' is so foolish and rude to not to know her thirst for blood ( it complies to the lovers death)
otherwise,he knows how to present her sword water(blood) as flavored rich wine.(to kill himself to please her)
